NEW PROGRAMME for Sep 2018:

 We are SO excited to announce our NEW programme of art classes, provided by our NEW artist-in-residence Hazel Crawford.
 Hazel is an artist constantly on the lookout for new avenues to widen her own experiences and challenge her approach to her own work. 

5 students required for courses to go ahead

Mondays.... 1-3pm

Tuesdays... 7-9pm

The new format:  a 10 week journey into the world of art

4 weeks: exploring an allocated medium, style or subject matter: watercolour, acrylics, oils, oil pastel & turpentine; chalk pastels, pencil, palette knife application of acrylics or oils...; Imressionism, Abstract or Pop Art, Cubism...; landscape, still-life, flowers, human body, buildings...  
1 week:  Taster Session of something completely different!!
4 weeks: exploring an allocated medium, style or subject matter
1 week:  Taster Session

Be it sketches or paintings, in any media, Hazel will be on hand to provide each individual artist with expert advice on skills, techniques and how to move your own artwork forward.  Meet other artists and share your experience and knowledge with each other.

Booking details below:
Minimum 5 students required for the course to go ahead. Places must be booked at least one month before the start date please.

17th Sep 2018 - 26th Nov (1 week break for schools half-term holiday Mon 22nd Oct)
4 weeks: drawing (using a variety of media, styles & techniques)
1 week: Watercolour Taster lesson
4 weeks: landscapes (using a variety of media, styles & techniques)
1 week: Oils Taster lesson




Expert tuition tailored to your needs, No Experience Necessary: beginners and improvers welcome.

Explore different techniques, skills and processes each week: composition, perspective, colour theory & mixing, shade & tone, glazing, scumbling, chiaroscuro, stippling, dry-brush, impasto, sgraffito, faux finish, layering, creating texture, wet on/in wet... Just come along, have a go and enjoy!

These classes are for anyone who:

- would really like to have a go but isn't quite sure where to start (absolute beginners welcome)...
- is concerned about spending out loads on art materials they will never get round to using...
- doesn't want to worry about the mess...
- wants to learn more about a particular medium...
- just wants to get back into it but never quite gets round to it at home (improvers welcome)...

No previous experience necessary (we even de-mystify the drawing bit!)

We highly recommend you bring a sketchbook to track development of skills, techniques and processes each week and enable you to experiment during each class.

If you can't attend a class you have booked, we cannot offer a refund as the workshop will have gone ahead as planned.
If Hands-on Art Adventures cancel the class you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
